We are happy to announce that the NSF travel support program is available to students who are interested in attending SSBSE 2016 this year. Priority will be given to students who are authors and present a paper at the conference. All students, including non‐U.S. citizens, are eligible to apply, though priority will be given to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. We particularly encourage students from underrepresented groups to apply. The funds can be used to pay partially or in full (depending on qualifying conditions) for travel expenses. The grants are sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
At the end of the conference, the students who have been selected to receive travel supplements from this NSF grant are requested to provide a brief report on their opinions of SSBSE 2016 and complete a brief survey.
To apply the student must submit the following to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject: “SSBSE 2016 NSF Student Travel Support”:
- A resume (CV). Please mention in your resume if you have a paper accepted at SSBSE2016.
- A brief note from the student’s advisor supporting the application.
